There are various types of surveying jobs that can be found on Amber. These include:
1) Building surveyors - Work in property and construction. They are involved with the design and development of new buildings or restoration and maintenance.
2) Civil engineering surveyor - Covers the construction of railways, roads, motorways and highways, airport facilities, bridges, pipelines including water supply pipes and waste, power stations and through to private buildings.
3) Building control surveyors - All about building regulations and legislation for building or restoring houses, offices and buildings. Regulations cover public health, fire safety, energy and building access.
4) A commercial and residential surveyor is involved in valuing, managing and marketing properties. He can also act as an agent for purchasing, leasing or selling a property.
5) A planning and development surveyor manages proposals and plans to build new developments or regenerate buildings. Planning and development involves physical and social impact of the build as well as any commercial viability.
6) A quantity surveyor manages all costs. His duty is to get value for money for his client and manage the efficiency required to enable the costs to be kept down.
