With over 10 years experiencethey work with corporate customers across the UK providing technology, expertise and intelligence for their communicationneeds.Role summary:Due to growth, they now require a talented 2nd Line Network Engineer/consultant with strong Cisco experience, preferablywith a diverse, advanced configuration knowledge and hand on experience.The role of 2nd Line Engineer is to provide the skills necessary to design, deliver and manage high-quality,project-based networking solutions to customers as well as be a point for escalation of network issues. Therefore therole can be seen to be both hands on as well as a customer facing consultative one.The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years proven and demonstrable experience in the Cisco networking arena with acommunications background.Strong troubleshooting skills with sound, logical and methodical approach.What We Are Looking For:Someone who has both Campus/Enterprise networking as well as ISP/Telco environment experience and has demonstrablecompetence in various key IT disciplines. Ideal candidate will have excellent customer facing skills, will workdiligently on own initiative and be prepared to accept and take ownership and ultimate responsibility for various rolesand tasks/projects.Technical Experience Required: CCNA or CCNP Cisco qualification Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, which will include all VPN technologies and protocols to include TCP/IP, IPX, BGP,RIP, EIGRP and OSPF. Any other industry recognised qualifications like MCSE would be useful. Demonstratable OS (Windows, Linux or Unix) experiences, ideally of Administrator level. Knowledge of Network Management/Monitoring tools and procedures. Wide exposure to different type of IS technologies and applications A passion for networking, communications, security and ICT Possess capability to learn and absorb large amounts of technical information in a field with expanding complexity on adaily basis |
