ACCOUNT DIRECTOR GBP 50K + BONUS + CAR + BENEFITSAn International Medical Communication Agency in the North West requires an Account Director.The successful candidate will lead and direct client accounts within the Agency by taking ultimate responsibility foroverall client service and financial delivery, identifying opportunities to increase the level of business, andidentifying resource requirements on the account.Represent the client internally within the Agency and represent the Agency externally to the client.Where required, identify and win new business to achieve the financial objectives of the company.The Account Director will- Lead and develop the internal account team, providing support and advice on client and project issues.- Ensure project teams are focused and motivated to deliver.- Develop close working relationships with team members in order to enable/facilitate the provision of regular feedbackon performance, both directly and to line managers.- Ensure adequate resourcing of accounts, working alongside Line Managers and Project Leaders to drive resourceforecasting and to highlight any issues before they impact on team performance or the client relationship.- Contribute to succession planning for both account teams and functional groups.- Line manage/develop/mentor staff as required/appropriate.ExperienceCandidates should preferably have Medical Marketing Agency experience or have a successful record of Sales & Marketing inthe Pharmaceutical industry.General/Other- Work with and support other Account Directors and ensure strong teamwork across accounts.- Personally direct agreed projects within own area of interest/specialisation and complete projects on time and withinbudget.- Review outputs against the clients rationale for work.- Efficiently manage competing projects, working within agreed deadlines and budgets.- Communicate effectively with colleagues and company contacts.
