Grade: C2 LevelApplicants must be willing to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the UK if requested.Role:Reporting to the Systems Maintenance Section Manager within the Information Systems Department (ISD), the purpose of yourrole as Technical Team Leader is to lead asmall team of Application Developers and to support current Mainframe and Visual Basic based systems.You will need to work closely with other areas of ISD and users within the business to perform detailed analysis anddesign. Strong Resource Management/Technical skills arerequired to ensure that efficient solutions are delivered in a timely manner and meeting defined Customer requirements.Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:1) Team Leader (resource and workload Management2) ISD Representative for indirect Customer Divisions3) Analysis of Customer requirements4) Produce detailed system (solution) design specification to ISD departmental standards.5) Develop / Maintain applications that meet Customer expectations and to agreed budgets and time scales.6) Ensure the quality of all work produced via thorough unit and system testing and supporting the business in the areaof Customer acceptance testing.7) Ensure all application enhancements are fully documented.8) Follow ISD procedures for change control prior to implementing any changes.9) Assist in resolving any system problems, ensuring that repeat occurrences do not happen.Skills and Experience:1) Graduate with at least 5 years commercial IT experience.*Non Graduate with sufficient experience would be considered.2) Proven Team Leader experience 9resource & workload Management3) Proven Analysis/Design and Development experience using:IBM Mainframe CobolIBM DB2CICSVisual Age Generator for Cobol (not mandatory)Visual Basic version 6Transactional SQL (i.e. Sybase , MS SQL server)Microsoft AccessCrystal Reports (not mandatory)Willingness to learn new processes, technologies and techniques.Experience of seeing Customer requirements through from analysis to final implementation.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a concise andnon-technical manner to our Customers.
