Business Development AdministratorBradfordSalary: GBP 13,500 - GBP 16,500 depending on skills and experience1 full time role - 35 hours, 1 part time role - 20 hours (salary pro-rata)Our client is an international publisher, providing a range of premier print/ electronic information resources andelectronic databases for academic and practitioner markets worldwide.The focus of the Business Development Department is the development and implementation of strategies to create newrevenue streams within the business and increase dissemination of our authors' work.The role requires an experienced administrative assistant to work within the Business Development Department. Thedepartment focuses on developing and implementing strategies to create new business revenues. This role concentrates onproviding support to the Business Development Team primarily on journal acquisitions and content licensing partnerships.The key responsibilities will include:Conducting Internet research;Assisting the Business Development Team to identify new business opportunities;Issuing marketing letters and emails to prospective customers;Communicating with partner organisations;Setting up free product trials and generating usage statistic reports;Preparing invoices and recording payments;Issuing appropriate letters and statements for debt recovery;Organising travel arrangements for the Business Development team;Scheduling appointments and preparing itineraries for event attendance;Maintaining files and recording data on spreadsheets;Collating and despatching journals to partnering organisations;Providing general administrative support for the Business Development team.The successful candidate should have experience of working in a busy office environment and be literate, numerate andexperienced in Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience of using the Internet would be useful, but not essential. Goodorganisational skills are required along with the ability to meet deadlines. We are seeking a team player with excellentcommunication skills and the drive and initiative to contribute to this fast moving and innovative area of the business.
