Our client is one of the largest independent electronics design consultancies in Europe, specialising in product andsystems design for communications, aerospace, defence and medical applications. It undertakes a wide variety ofprogrammes from small design support or feasibility study contracts to complete product design, through to thedevelopment of full custom systems and system integration.We are looking for an Approvals Engineer with a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience to liaise with approvals housesand manage the testing of new products under development. As an Approvals Engineer you will work with a variety oftechnologies including GSM, GPRS, 3G, Bluetooth and carry out approvals, RF testing and propagation studies.Key skills and experience Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in approvals/specifications, supervising EMC and environmental tests. Experience of radio survey work and RF testing. You should have good understanding of RF principles and their practical application, and be conversant withISO17025/ISO9000 quality standards. Self-sufficient, practical and comfortable working on your own initiative and physically fit in order to undertakesurvey work. An appropriate qualification in electronics (Degree/HND) is desirable. |
