: Qualified to degree level in manufacturing engineering or an engineering related subject, you will have familiarity with modern APQP manufacturing methodologies. You should possess a minimum of five years experience ideally gained within the automotive or powertrain manufacturing industries. This role will be to oversee manufacturing and to liaise between purchasing and engineering within an executive type role. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Excellent communication skills and project management experience is essential as is QS 9000 knowledge. You will form an integral part of NPI process and provide the link from engineering to purchasing. You will develop APQP/NPI synergy and notify and provide guidance on APQP status reporting requirements. You will be required to collect, verify and consolidate assessments on external suppliers as well as preparing, distributing and communicating periodic APQP status and risk assessment reports and supporting suppliers as necessary in signing of PFMEA and control plans. You will be required to co-ordinate all Components Readiness Reviews and support build events and facilitate resolution of supplier quality issues as well as leading the design for manufacture reviews/supplier AVIDs and co-ordinate process change requests within engineering.
