Our client is looking for a laboratory technician to work full time on a permanent basis in the Newcastle laboratoryundertaking analyst of s for the presence of asbestos. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out onsite air monitoring in accordance with HSE procedures and monitor contractors to ensure compliance with Health and Safetyregulations. Other duties include assisting with building surveys to identify asbestos containing materials, book sinto the laboratory ensuring their analysis within a given time frame.Successful candidates will have a relevant science or environmental degree and at least six months experience workingwithin the asbestos industry. You will need a basic working knowledge of computers.Future Select specialise in recruiting staff in the Asbestos Industry.
