As a result of some internal changes my client now has a vacancy for an Assistant Merchandiser in the menswear UK buying division. In this role we are looking for a highly motivated & ambitious individual to join our UK merchandising operation. You will be proactive, enthusiastic and looking to take ownership and responsibility for your merchandise categories. The successful candidate will be motivated by a challenging workload and thrive on using their initiative. As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will play an integral part in the business. Your role will be to identify potential sales opportunities, and be central to the range building process and line level forecasting. You will also develop your Allocator to manage the stock replenishment process and to optimise sales and stock. Key objectives of the role: Managing the pre-season planning process, including working on range plans, assortment plans, plus sales and stock requirements Managing an Allocator to ensure correct allocation, and replenishment of products at store level Providing detailed analysis of sales and stock by product and category In order to succeed in this role you will be an experienced Assistant Merchandiser with at least one years experience, ideally but not essentially from a Fashion department, from a credible retailer. In addition you must have strong communication and influencing skills, be highly analytical and computer literate and possess strong commercial/retail awareness.
