Develop automotive body structures (trimmed and un-trimmed), using FEA, to meet defined performance targets, specifically; global static and dynamic stiffness, localised dynamic stiffness, VTFs and NTFs.Skills Required: MSC Nastran (ver. 2004), SOL101, 103 and 200, including de-bugging of analysis runs. Hypermesh ver. 6 or7 for Pre/Post-Processing. PC Skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Generate FE models from CAD data against definedspecifications, also update existing models. Understanding of automotive body structure stiffness and low frequency (0 to500Hz) characteristics with respect to Vehicle NVH attributes.Skills Preferred: Motran, Pirate. Acoustic cavity modelling. ACM2 welding/joining methodology.Experience Required: Proven track record in development of automotive body structures (trimmed and un-trimmed), usingFEA, to meet defined performance targets, specifically; global static and dynamic stiffness, localised dynamic stiffness,VTF's and NTF's. Able to effectively report back findings/conclusions in an efficient manner. Experience Preferred:Preparation of reports/presentations to feedback on issues under investigation. Correlation of CAE results against testdata. Education Required:Candidates must have a minimum of HNC/HND in relevant field, ideally educated to Degree level. |
