As the world's leading supplier of Maritime IT solutions, my client understands that maritime transportation is a highly complex business involving a wide range of skills at sea and ashore. With two decades of experience and more than 120 systems installed in some of the world's largest ports, major offshore oil and gas fields, and coastal areas, our clients "Vessel Traffic Management Information Systems" (VTMIS) systems contribute to the safety and efficiency of vessel traffic movements around the world. As part of growing demand for this life saving technology they urgently require the industry specific services of a Senior Business Development Manager to further develop sales within the Maritime industry. Reporting to the VP Sales, you will have full responsibility for heading up business development for the sale of their traffic management systems (VTMIS) specifically to the Maritime industry. This will require you to utilize and build on existing relationships within the Maritime as well as identifying potential new areas of business and converting these into real revenue generators. You will also be expected to conduct formal interactive presentations across the world in order to demonstrate the true capabilities of our client's innovative Maritime IT solutions. Working with an existing and established sales team is an essential part of this role, as well as building effective relationships across all aspects of our client's organisation will be essential. The ideal Senior Business Development Manager will have a strong background selling a highly technical/complex IT solution to the Maritime (e.g. ports, major offshore oil and gas fields, and coastal areas). Although, strong technical sales people selling other solutions/services to the Maritime industry may also be considered. You will also be able to demonstrate a history of developing new business and over achieving on a GBP 1M Target (i.e. target to be agreed with the successful applicant). This is a sales role for senior people that can lead from the front; hence, not only will you have the right skill set, but you will have a real passion for the Aircraft and Aerospace industry. The remuneration package on offer reflects that of a market leader in this field and will consist of a GBP 35-40,000 Base (negotiable depending on experience) with a rewarding commission structure that will see you earn GBP 60,000 OTE + All the perks you would expect from a role of this magnitude e.g. car, health pension, international travel.
