BROADCAST SALES EXECUTIVE (LIVE PRODUCTION)Our client design and manufacture complex solutions to customers throughout the world in broadcast television programproduction and post production, archiving, asset management, VOD, DVD authoring, digital intermediate processing (movies,episodics, TV commercials), large screen displays, rental and staging.Principal Purpose of JobThis commercial role is designed to provide the proactive approach to aid customers, account management and the globalsales channel within the Switcher and Live Production market segment.Main Functions and Responsibilities1. Close working with global account management and sales channel to understand application requirements and offerappropriate solution.2. Close working with members of the projects team to provide overall Company system solutions.3. Primarily provide technical information of product range to all commercial elements of the business.4. Support and project manage and the progress of commercial opportunities.5. Understand own and competitive product positioning in relation to the overall market place.6. Provide sales team with pre-sales technical support/expertise to maximise sales revenue, incl. responses totenders/RFIs/RFQs by completing relevant competitor analyses and proposing a range of price : performance options7. Work with product management to define the most appropriate solution(s) for customers workflow requirements involvingthe Company and other vendor equipment where appropriate8. Provide feedback to Product Management on existing product enhancements, new product requirements andmarket/competitor activity9. Refer post-sales issues to Customer Care/Service and process customer issues that have not been resolvedsatisfactorily10. Where appropriate, complete relevant product training for both customers and internal sales / team11. Support relevant exhibitions, roadshows, seminars, etc, incl. design, installation & support.12. Provide regular reporting of market intelligence, competitor activity, major project updates, etc13. Manage partner relationships with other vendorsESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE- HNC or above in Electronic Engineering (preferred)- Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines- Proven Sales/Project Management experience within the Broadcast arena- Good understanding of Production Switchers and Broadcast systems- Experience of RFI/RFP process (useful)- Presentation skills to customers and internal staff members- Ability to work alone or as part of a team- Willingness to travel globally- Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlinesFull driving license and full passport necessary as there will be a certain degree of domestic and foreign travel in thisrole
