This large UK contractor has been awarded the contract to design & build two Train Maintenance Facilities in Kent. Thework involves the remodelling of the local rail infrastructure, relocation of various existing buildings, track andservices and the construction of new offices, workshops, elfare & ancillary areas, train stabling, washing & servicing &cleaning facilities.As Building Services Manager you will provide full services support to the two teams involved in the project. You willmanage/oversee the design of all services for both sites, provide imput into programme development, making sure that theyare carried out to reqired standards.During the later stages of the contract, the appointee will manage the testing & commissioning of all services elements -providing the client with fully functioning & good quality maintenance depots.Suitable candidates will have a HND or Degree in Mechanical/Building Services or Electrical Installation Engineering.They will have at least 10 years experience working in the construction industry for a main or M&E sub contractor.Familiar with the process of management of designers and of co-ordination & integration of building services.You will need to be professional, able to demonstrate professional demeanour as there is a considerable amount of contactwith both clients and the sub contractors.Must be able to work as part of team or on your own and should appreciate the need for adherence to programme and budget& have experience in monitoring & controlling these aspects of a contract at project management level. |
