RoleOur client requires a Built Environment Consultant to join our expanding team.The post will be based at their Cardiff office which provides a full range of environmental and sustainabilityassessment services including:The Building Research Establishments Environmental Assessment Methods (BREEAM and EcoHomes)The NHS Environmental Assessment Tool (NEAT)The Schools Environmental Assessment Method (SEAM)The ICEs Civil Engineering Environmental Quality Assessment and Award Scheme (CeeQual) andCarbon Trust Action Energy Audits and Energy Accreditation AuditorThe successful candidate will be required to act as a Consultant for a diverse sector of clients/ projects includinghealthcare, education, defense, law and order, regional development, and infrastructure.The post will require specialist training to undertake any of assessment methods mentioned, and as such the candidateshould have a sound background knowledge of the built environment including sustainable construction processes; energymonitoring and reduction techniques; waste reduction and recycling; air, land and water pollution protection andecological enhancement strategies.A personal interest in sustainability issues would be advantageous.Key CompetenciesSkills:Excellent report writing and presentational skillsAbility to facilitate meetings and participate in Client presentations.Ability to use Microsoft word, excel, access and powerpoint.Qualifications:The ideal candidate should hold a recognised qualification to HNC/ HND/ degree level but consideration will be given totime served candidates.Experience:At least 3 years relevant experience in an appropriate sector.Personal Qualities:The role requires considerable enthusiasm and professionalism, together with excellent communication skills.A full clean driving license will be required as some travel throughout England and Wales will be required as willoccasional work away from home.The candidate must be able to work as part of a team and alone.Training:Academic and on-job training will be provided as applicable. Continued Professional Development will be required. |
