Reporting directly to the Business Team Manager, to lead and manage a competitive data team of 3 people of varyingexperience & expertise. To ensure that this team delivers to the 135 Global Users of key system, accurate/timelycompetitor data and rapid resolution of data queries. Successful achievement of this role involves dealing with theexternal suppliers who supply this data, including regular weekly/monthly meetings and ensuring that ongoing enhancementsto the competitor data supply are completed successfully by the supporting development team. The team faces manychallenges in this arena including the need to re-engineer the present competitive data system in a short time frame. Theteam leader will be responsible for supporting the business and IT personnel working on this including signing off thebusiness analysis, business requirements/specification & business testing of this new system. The successful candidatewill be also responsible for interacting with other team leaders in the team to ensure "seamless" delivery to users.Skills Required:# Proven record in managing & leading a small team of individuals -- 1 to 2 years recent experience. Team player as willneed to interact with other team leaders.# Recent business analyst experience of 1-2 years, including testing, with overall experience of 3-5 years# A good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, VBA/b language & Oracle with recent experience of 1 to 2 years. Capabilityto program/update Access databases and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word essential.# Ability to analyse potentially complex technical problems or business issues and recommend solutions in business speakto management.# Sound Commercial & Business Knowledge, preferably obtained within a large corporate business environment.Desirable Skills:# A good working knowledge of Business Process & Development lifecycle# A good working knowledge of software testing |
