This client is a global IT outsourcing company, working with an impressive client portfolio in the key areas ofconsultancy, transaction processing + managed IT services including data centres, help-desk, desk-top services &application maintenance + development.Recruitment is high on their agenda and as such they are looking to recruit 2 "consultative" Business DevelopmentManagers to sell the company's services into a number of existing accounts as well as new business activity (which iswhere the focus of sales activity will be).Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be tasked to deliver target sales in new & existing accounts in the areas ofinfrastucture managed services + technology consulting projects.Key Responsibilities:�� To generate leads for building sales pipeline in infrastructure managed services area ��Manage prospects / accounts including the entire sales process from business development prospecting and qualificationsthrough contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support �� To produce and present sales plan alignedto achieve individual objectives �� To gather market intelligence and decide sales strategy to build aqualified pipeline and achieve sales targets �� To follow sales process and produce sales reports in linewith company guidelines and policies �� To prepare presentations, proposals and present them to C level�� To solicit and provide feedback on wins and losses �� To assist marketing in decidingmarketing strategies �� To handover a successful sale to operations to enable a successful delivery�� To assist finance on profitability projections of opportunity pursuedQualifications & Experience:�� Ideally, degree educated eg a management qualification in sales/ marketing would be especiallybeneficial. �� At least 5 years' sales experience in IT services area in the UK market ��Consistent track record in achieving sales targets and managed services / technology projects �� Must havehandled new business ( services ) sales of about GBP 1 million plus consistently in last 3 years �� Formalsales training and fully aware of sales and opportunity management processes �� Ability to produce qualityproposals and presentation with least support structure around �� Ability to generate pipeline from coldcalls and other methods of lead generation with very low dependency on telemarketing leads �� Professionalappearance and mannerisms with high energy levels �� Drive for being responsible and accountable�� Exceptional interpersonal skills �� Positive team-oriented attitude and proven ability inteam selling �� Strong computer skills, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint andOutlook �� Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral. �� Negotiation and saleclosure capabilities and ability to deal with contract clauses and legal terms at an overview level.The company culture is very "open" and "creative". Being a realtively smaller organisation, the company is not hamperedby rigid procedure and specifically encourages an environment in which all ideas are considered.
