Description:

The role will be to identify and maximise business and revenue opportunities in electronic publishing. To manage anddevelop the people and products/services of the following areas: Foodline Web Development/Sales & Marketing Web Development Data Abstracting OperationTo communicate effectively with other Business Managers and collaborate where possible to ensure achievement of groupbudget.Main Accountabilities: To show excellent communication skills at all levels, internally and externally. To lead, motivate, develop and represent staff. To delegate effectively and constructively. To have excellent presentation skills for internal and client purpose. To be able to negotiate at senior levels internally and externally. To have excellent organisational and prioritisations skills in order to be able to plan and prioritise work of oneselfand others. To ensure that deadlines, revenue, cost and production goals are met To develop short, mid and long term objectives and plans for those departments and services under remit. Linked to the above, provide sound forecasting, budget setting and financial reporting. To maximise development, revenue and growth opportunities on electronic publishing initiatives. Also provide supportand recommendation for electronic services within other Information businesses.Ideal candidate 5+ years in development of Commercial Information Databases 5+ years of Team Management experience Account Management experience, preferably in a publishing or information environment A background in scientific, technical or market research subscription publishing is essential. Strong and demonstrable abilities in the use of the Internet as a sales vehicle Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills Confident and enthusiastic team player.
