: BUYER East London Immediate My client is a long established company, based in E14, with a background in commercialmaintenance and refurbishment. It has an extensive property portfolio and is now developing some of the sites. It has anin-house development division with a fully qualified team of professionals. They are currently seeking a Buyer with aminimum of two/three years experience in buying for a contractor or in sales for a merchant. The successful candidatewill:- Have a good knowledge of general day to day materials e.g. plaster, aggregates, timber, sheet materials,glass, plumbing, etc. Some knowledge of basic electrical materials would also be useful but is not essential. Bea team player. This is very important as our buyer is an integral member of the accounts department and must work withthe accounts staff to minimise delays on the payment of invoices due to disputed prices and other queries. Havegood computer skills. Have a reasonable knowledge of transport and the road network in East London and Essex. Hewill also control our drivers so knowledge of tachographs, transport regulations etc. will be beneficial. Thesuccessful applicant will not be involved in the placing of subcontract orders so experience in this field is notnecessary.
