Based in Cambridge but with some overseas travel to visit suppliers, this major Electronics company are looking for aBuyer who will be responsible for maximising value for money through the procurement process by identifying &implementing strategic sourcing initiatives to improve the design & competitiveness of our products.Main responsibilities include;To develop supplier relationships by sharing forward planning and business goals,To identify and evaluate the capability and competitiveness and ongoing development of suppliers who will meet ourcurrent & future business requirements,Work with the Supplier Development Manager to ensure the supplier selection processTo establish Supplier contracts and ensure flow down of terms and conditions from Customer contracts is understoodIn conjunction with the Supplier Development Manager, undertake regular business reviews with key suppliers to reviewdelivery, quality & cost performance,Establish with suppliers, a supply chain process that will generate an increase in inventory turns & lead-timereductions,Maximise profit contribution & value for money by optimising cost savings on high value material expenditures.You must have electro-mechanical buying experience along with extensive experience of purchasing electro-mechanicalcomponents from the Far East. |
