: Buyer - Large House Developer - North London/Hertfordshire Our client is one of the largest housebuilding developers in the UK. They are continuing to expand their residential portfolio in the London and South East areas and as a result they are looking for an experienced materiels buyer to join the company, based in North West London/Hertfordshire borders, at their regional offices. You will need to be an experienced buyer, with a working history within the residential and housebuilding sector. Previous experience as a materials buyer for a housebuider, or housing developer is not essential but would be definately beneficial for this role. Working on the buying team, and reporting into the chief buyer, you will be responsible for the day to day ordering of materials that will be used on site, and you will be responsible in working with the QS and commercial teams to ensure that the materials are to spec, time and quality, not to mention cost ! Negotiation skills are a must for this role as you will need to liase directly with suppliers, and sub contractors to get the best possible prices. This is a chellenging role and would suit someone with a minimum of 4 years buying experience. In return for your skills the client are able to offer a very competitive salary and benefits package, with a salary of up to GBP 40, 000 per annum, dependent on experience.
