: Our client is the hospitality arm of a property management company which entertains foreign dignitaries when they are in the UK. This role is as part of their Purchasing Team which will deal with any purchasing requests during and prior to their clients visit. Our client delivers a 5 star service in all areas and the purchasing function has to be commensurate with this level of service. You will be required to buy all request on and ad-hoc basis, and maintain relationships with local suppliers to this end. This will involve procurement of a wide range of goods and services. Sourcing best prices and quality is essential and being able to think on your feet and respond accordingly is paramount. You should be flexible and hard working as long and irregular hours will often be required. This is a role for someone with enthusiasm and motivation and extremely strong communicaton skills. You should be confident and articulate and be comfortable liaising and dealin! g with VIPs. You will ideally have experience of formal society and have an understanding of the etiquette and behaviour required. This is a role for a proactive and conscientious individual with dignity and prestige and an understanding of hospitality.
