Buyer Central London GBP 25K-GBP 30K JE23257A major Underground company is currently seeking a Buyer to join their Procurement Team. You will be responsible indelivering Procurement and Contract Management services to meet the needs of our clients business and procurementobjectives, as well as managing procurement performance and ensuring continuous improvement programmes to achieve bestvalue.Your other responsibilities include:- Support the implementation of procurement policies as directed based on the Business Planning Strategy.- Support the Support Services Procurement Team to ensure that Support Services deliver best in class.- Input to performance feedback of suppliers and ensure it is complied with- Input to the development maintenance and updating information in relation to existing vendors.- Utilise all IT systems to in accordance with best business practice- Evaluate methods of extracting value from our supply chain- Input to SLA as required to underpin requirements- Undertake the tendering exercise through evaluation to award as directed- Assist in the development and delivery of appropriate frameworksTo apply, you MUST have the following:- A minimum of 2 years experience within a Procurement/Contract Management function, in a service orientated area withina demanding safety critical environment.- Experience of Oracle procurement- Experience in team leadership and mentorship.- Experience of Support Services- Detailed awareness covering the complete procurement and contract management lifecycle.- Experience of the supplier market and the effective application of value for money strategies and solutions.- Commercial negotiation skills and an influencing leader to build constructive relationships at the highest levelswithin the company and with external suppliers.- An innovative and resilient individual focused on delivering contracted supplies, works and services to Tube Linesthrough the development and installation of a procurement service at a network level.
