Due to continued success within the marketplace my client requires an experienced Buyer of womenswear to join this high-profile department. Reporting directly to the Buying Manager your key responsabilities will include: Develop key strategies and proposals to support range planning process Select product to create the offer by: Create buying margin plans at department level Visit trade shows and undertake sourcing trips. Review profitability of current supplier base Agree grow/hold/decline/exit strategies for suppliers Select products and set prices Brief packaging designs for own label goods Accountable for competitor shopping Assimilate trends and feed into buying plans Decide on product mix to support the strategy Negotiate with suppliers to secure desired products and supporting terms Accountable for dealing with delivery problems and wrong/damaged merchandise Conduct contract negotiation with concessions and subsequent amendments to initial contracts In order to successfully face up to this incredible challenge you will be an experienced Fashion Buyer; having gained your experience in a fast-paced, credible retail environment.
