A Buyer is now required to work within the Procurement Department, prioritising material requirements in accordance with work plans and schedules to meet production and customer delivery requirements. Your role will also involve responsibility for strategic and operational aspects including vendor selection, negotiation and supplier performance. You will be educated to HNC or Degree level and will be working towards or have completed MCIPS qualification. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a purchasing or similar role along with strong negotiating skills. In addition to your purchasing experience you will be computer literate including possessing knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
