Our client, a highly respected contract manufacturer of toiletries and personal care products, has an excitingopportunity for a Buyer to join the purchasing team and be a part of their continued rapid growth.Reporting to the Purchasing Director, you will be based from the head office in Hampshire.The Role: Effective sourcing at lowest cost, of a range of packaging materials Monitoring of commodity prices Achievement of required service levels from supply base. Assist in sourcing indirect materials Management of procurement data Working closely with manufacturing operations, ensuring optimum supply and inventory of packaging stock.The Requirements Previous commercial and buying experience. Knowledge of strategic purchasing, FMCG sector and buying within a manufacturing operation. Packaging buying experience would be a great advantage. Diploma or degree educated. CIPS in part or full.
