Description:

C.A.E. AnalystOur client is recognised as a World leader in the design, manufacture and sale of industrial diesel engines throughoutthe world.The job will involve the use of predictive analysis (CAE) on engine components and systems for the companies within theGroup and external customers using commercially available FE software and company developed software and processes.You will work at a workstation within a dynamic CAE team environment undertaking single tasks or projects and will reportto a CAE team leader or project manager. The nature of CAE projects and their visibility within the organisation demandsownership of the tasks carried out and attention to detail.Typical tasks will include:Component / system modellingTemperature, stress, fatigue and vibration analysisData gathering and liaison within the organisationReport writingPreparation of project related presentation materialPrerequisites:Pro-active, questioning mindset, and is enthusiastic and self-motivatedI-DEAS Master Series (version 9+) FE analysis experience, plus knowledge of modelling / geometry repair on solidcomponents*.Detailed ABAQUS usage and experience (2 year+) on thermal, structural and contact problems.Experience using NASTRAN for static, dynamics and forced response problems.Minimum of 4+ years experience of analytical methods, ideally in engine industry, related to thermo-mechanical,durability or NVHBasic knowledge of engine workings, together with an appreciation of the related underlying theoretical principles.Good communication skills (written and oral)PC knowledge of MS office (word, project, excel and powerpoint)*Experience of other Pre/Post processors e.g. PATRAN - also considered, if can be offset by in-depth, higher ABAQUSexperience.Please include comprehensive contact and personal details and salary expectations with your application.
