We distribute our product via our websites to our target market of UK consumers. The majority of bookings are fulfilledvia our London based call centre. We pride ourselves on our high level of service and first hand knowledge of thedestinations being sold.Further expansion of our product range is planned in 2006 which will include more complex and longer itineraries and itis essential that service levels are maintained. Product knowledge and motivation of the sales team is a key requirement.Reporting to the founding directors of the company, the ideal candidate will have proven people management skills in atravel call centre environment as well as the flexibility to be hands on when required. The candidate will be astrategic, positive thinker and will be responsible for ensuring profitable business results.ResponsibilitiesTeam Management:- To build and manage a culture of continuous improvement- Recruitment of all sales staff- Management of appraisals and salary reviews- Training and development- Disciplinary issues- Management of rotas- Management of holidays/sick days- Profit ManagementTo ensure that the company achieves sales and revenue targets:- Maximise conversion rates- Maximise sales and gross profit margins- System and Process ManagementTo ensure a streamlined operation:- Review of current administrative processes- Recommend database changes to Systems Management as appropriate- Product KnowledgeTo ensure that staff are kept up to date on all product:- Liaise with Product Management regarding all new destinations, product and special offers- Arrange familiarisation trips for all sales staff- Reporting/MISEnsure that directors are kept up to date with all relevant information:- Run daily/weekly/monthly reports on sales activities- Check all phone reports to ensure staffing levels are optimised- Recommend any changes that need to be made- Business PlanningTo assist directors with ongoing development plans:- Ensure up to date with market conditions- Make recommendations for ongoing improvements- Implement new processes in line with the growth of the businessSalary GBP 30k to GBP 35k + bonus, dependant on experience |
