Blue Chip international IT & Telco company is seeking an analytical, professional individual for a role that is a classicfirst move out of practice.The Central Ledger Accountant is part of a team of three responsible for controlling &reporting the performance of the groups central ledger activities, reporting directly to the Accounting Service CentreController. The position includes liaising with overseas processing functions to ensure accurate & timely production ofdata as well as preparing local & group statutory reporting & compliance work.Key responsibilities include: Key contact to external & internal auditors for all audit work & special projects involving English, Irish and Dutchoperations. Annual preparation of the English, Irish & Dutch statutory accounts. Performing monthly control reviews of European entities to ensure appropriate accounting treatment & controls are beingcompleted. Liaising with worldwide finance operations to ensure appropriate revenue & COS recognition across the world. Preparation & review of local VAT & compliance reporting.The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified, able to communicate to all levels of staff & enforce policies on both junior &senior colleagues & perform analytical analysis of data, enabling senior management to better understand the trends &accuracy of central ledgers. A strong understanding of IAS & sound Excel & IT skills are essential. Knowledge of US andIAS revenue recognition standards & VAT would be an advantage.
