: Our Client is a global leader in the discovery, manufacture and marketing of innovative specialty chemicals. Their Coating Effects segment, based in Paisley, is the world's leading manufacturer and supplier of coloured pigments for the ink, paint and plastics industries. They currently have a vacancy for a Technologist, based in their Research and Development department, for which a high degree of self-motivation and commitment to meet agreed targets as well as good interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Applications are invited from those possessing a minimum qualification of HNC in Chemistry, preferably with several years of industrial experience. Practical experience with light and electron microscopy techniques as well as powder X-ray diffraction is an advantage. The responsibilities of this role include: Running of our Physical Measurements laboratory, providing a service to R&D, Marketing and Technical operations. Interpreting resul! ts and presenting conclusions. Keeping abreast of relevant technology. Ensuring that the equipment is maintained in an efficient working order. The job holder will be expected to plan, execute, evaluate and report on their work. |
