JOB SCOPE:The Commercial Manager is responsible for all business processes from sales order processing through to issue ofinvoices. To lead the commercial team, which provides support to sales managers/agents. This person will work closelywith the finance department regarding credit control and act as deputy to the senior commercial controller.JOB FUNCTIONS:i.) To ensure high quality and efficient service contract administration services and be responsible for all commercialprocedures and records including: Quotations and sales correspondence files, subscription agreements, sales ordergeneration, checking and approval, pre despatch validation, invoice issues, and contract renewal notices.ii.) To work closely with the Financial Department to ensure accurate transfer of information for management/financialaccounting purposes, and to ensure prompt payment of sales invoices in accordance with approved terms and conditions ofsale.iii.) To provide sales support functions including provision of reports of orders received and invoices issued, and toprovide weekly sales revenue and gross profit forecasts and reports. To administer purchase orders and manage royaltypayments to data suppliers.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:i.) 5 years experience of sales/commercial administration including contract administration and credit control experience- essential.ii.) 2 years + management experience in a similar commercial management role - essential.iii.) Experience in a service contract industry - essential.iv.) Formal business or commercial qualification to HND level or higher - desirablev.) Prior experience with an integrated Business System - desirable.vi.) Experience in the Marine/Naval field (or similar) - desirable. |
