Description:

Principle Accountabilities:Continuous Improvement:Based on the information available from the Assembly Database and technical department, identify and deliver robustimprovement actions using logical and analytical processes that deliver measurable improvements in the construction ofour product.To generate analytical or graphical reports that through liaison and instruction with specific company or Customer orSupplier Personnel that enables root cause corrective actions to be taken.To create a monthly management report that summarises customer/ supplier performance status of the key cost / quality /customer perception issues.To coordinate regular reviews with the company and or Supplier and Customer personnel to address key issues and promote afinancially driven continuous improvement ethos.To educate and develop the Continual Improvement culture within our Customer Base as necessary.To ensure lessons learned are considered at new project review stages.Systems / Standards:To aid in developing and implementing the companys Management system, in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. Theapproach to quality should be pro-active and complimentary to operational efficiency.To be able to relate the concept of Total Quality Management into the definition, control and implementation ofprocedures, particularly regarding effective logistic / operational shop-floor control.To conduct internal audits (System / Parts and Process) and supplier visits to ensure that procedures are appropriate andbeing adhered, and to co-ordinate any necessary corrective actions.Management:To coordinate a cross functional team as necessary to implement relevant improvement activities.Influence relevant Departments and key suppliers to implement process improvement activities in line with qualityrecommendations.Measurables:Quality performance KPIs of the assembly process overrun / remedials.Cost improvement activities based on specific manufacturing and site based processes.Reduction of issues raised at B audit level (defects per house).Knowledge and Experience:A graduate (or of graduate calibre) in an analytically related discipline. A graduate calibre candidate would be acceptedif supported by an outstanding and directly related career of continuous improvement.Commercially aware and must have managerial experience (minimum 3 years) in a high volume (preferably automotive)environment holding responsibility for customer and/or internal process quality.Strong organisational skills with experience in the methodical implementation of Continuous Improvement and TQM, andpossess excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities.A skilled planner with relevant knowledge of management skills and manufacturing processes and the ability to adapt tothose to a non-manufacturing function.Competent on use of computer databases, preferably Microsoft Excel.Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, being an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.Ability to develop a good rapport with all levels of staff and ability to communicate, with credibility both internallyand externally.A strong team player with the tenacity to drive through change in a manner that will instil confidence and gain respect.
