Consultant - Medical DevicesMain purpose of the job:To use your technical and commercial acumen to manage and to create value on client assignments for medical productscompanies including medical device, clinical diagnostics and medtech companies.Type of work undertaken by the group:The consulting work covered by the business unit includes:Improving R and D performance for companies developing medical devices and clinical diagnostics Due diligence assignmentsfor investors and companies undertaking mergers and acquisitionsEvaluations of market and customer needs for companies developing new productsPartner and product selection for companies proposing to licence or acquire new productsProduct and portfolio management for companies looking to identify and develop new innovative productsImproving yields for manufacturing processes for complex medical productsThe distinctive feature we bring to ourconsulting work is the combination of industry understanding, market knowledge, relevant in-depth technical expertise aswell as proven consulting tools and methodologies.Specific responsibilities:You will be recruited to act as a project manager. In addition, you will be required to work as a consultant as a memberof project teams, alongside other consultants and analysts.Specific responsibilities will include:Transaction support, including due diligence assessment and expert reports for public listingsStrategy and planning, including product/portfolio valuationMarket opportunity assessment and market modellingProduct and portfolio managementPartnering, licensing and outsourcingMinimum requirements:You will ideally have several years experience in the medical devices industry in a product management, businessdevelopment or project management role preferably in a multinational company.Experience of consultancy with medicaldevice companies would be an advantage.You will have a degree in chemistry, engineering, biochemistry, physics or relatedarea and possibly a PhD and or a MBA, plus experience of applying your knowledge to real world problems.Future prospects:Our client is committed to developing its employees careers and has a flexible policy for individuals capabilities andpreferences.
