CONTRACTS DIRECTOR AND PROJECT DIRECTOR GBP 65K + CAR + HEALTH + EXCELLENT BONUSFAST TRACT MANAGEMENTNORTH EAST / MIDLANDS / NORTH WESTOur client is a leading independent provider of infrastructure-based construction solutions, consultancy and services,committed to providing the very best for our clients in the property development, environment, transport and professionalconsulting markets. Due to sustained growth and already responsible for over GBP 400m worth of work is this sector lastyear, our client is looking to recruit a Contracts Director and a Project Director who possess the experience and abilityto lead multi-million pound construction contracts.Working on a nationwide basis on projects from GBP 12m to GBP 220m there is currently more focus on new build projects in theNorth and refurbishment projects in the South.The RoleYou will be reporting directly to the Operations Director while managing a large team of senior engineers, quantitysurveyors and site engineers efficiently and within the health and safety boundaries.You will have responsibility of budgetary matters, client liaising, contract negotiations, procurement and overallproject management of the contracts team.The right candidate will have a broad knowledge of med-high rise structures and be able to liaise with theclient/customer on a weekly basis on monetary and technical matters.Challenges of the role will include: financial control of the projects, working in a fast-track environment, negotiatingrates with contractors and management of sub-contractors.The RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have at least 10-15 years experience of working within the construction industry, preferably ata management level and have a good understanding of major site management.An excellent communicator on all levels with excellent time management. A motivational leader who can confidently bringfresh new knowledge to a large team.A strategic thinker who has a proven track record in managing multi-million pound projects and can influence contractsthrough to completion.The candidate must be degree educated, preferably in a civil engineering capacity or commercial/technical capacity.Must be willing to travel internationally, but be UK based.
