: Your role will be to develop and apply vehicle system modelling and engine cycle simulation tools to support advanced engine and fuel system controls and Virtual Product development. You will implement technical deliverables for physics based advanced engine controls and submodel improvements to simulation codes and work closely with internal and external partners including universities and consultants to ensure smooth integration of technologies into simulation tools. You will be responsible for recommending, investigating and analyzing improvements to the system, and effectively document and communicate these activities to customers and technical partners at all levels. You will enhance, implement and validate the software tools as needed to support these analyses. Analysis and software development activities will be managed using 6 Sigma tools and processes. Qualified to degree level in engineering (MSc or Ph.D. preferred) and with 2-5 years of system simulation experience or equivalent in two or more of the following areas: engine cycle simulation, control systems, fuel injection systems, or drivetrains, you will have software development experience. Engine performance simulation experience is highly desirable as is experience with engine testing and engine controls and 6 Sigma. You must have demonstrated skills in analysis, detailed data manipulation, determination of underlying system relationships and the appropriate selection and use of analysis tools. Strong customer focus, technical problem solving, communication and project management skills are essential.
