The above success is attributed to leading edge telecoms solutions such as complex hosting, security, WAN and LAN networking, IP VPN MPLS, VoIP, and broadband technologies.Due to this success my clients are looking to expand its current team of Operations Engineers in its Customer Department. The role will involve troubleshooting and providing 2nd to 3rd line support for large corporate customers, key to this will be experience of problem solving WAN networks, MPLS, Routing, leased line and DSL, at least 3-5 years within a support role in a ISP environment is essential. The successful candidate will be rewarded with an excellent renumeration package GBP 30k plus GBP 2k inconvenience allowance plus GBP 15 per shift, my client offers excellent ongoing training and support for those who wish to progress.Essential skills required include:- Minimum CCNA qualified - CCNP/ CCIP Preferred- 3-5 years within a support role in a ISP- Indepth knowledge of ADSL, leased line, ISDN, xDSL, MPLS, BGP, OSPF- Indepth understanding of PPP (PAP. CHAP)- Indepth understanding of ATM for LLU- Indepth understanding of Ethernet technologies (Fast and Gigabit)- Indepth understanding of Layer 2 switching, VLANS, VLAN-Trunking and Spanning Tree protocols and Class of service- Indepth understanding of MTU issues related to tunnelling.Only those who can demonstrate the essential skills above will be considered, Candidates not based within reasonable commuting distance or those in need of work permit sponsorship are not invited to apply at this stage. |
