SMT Consulting is a small and fast growing Management Consultancy based in central Oxford staffed by a team of graduateBusiness Analysts and experienced Consultants.We work in a wide range of sectors, such as FMCG, Utilities, Telecoms, Financial Services, Defence, Nuclear and thePublic Sector. Our core client base is blue chip; we work for 20% of the FTSE100.Our expertise splits into three main areas: market sector analysis (market intelligence), comparative research andintelligence (benchmarking) and procurement consulting.- In the Market Intelligence projects we analyse competitors of our clients to give them a strategic insight intoexisting and latent threats to their business- In Benchmarking projects we analyse best-in-class organisations to give our clients an understanding of best practiceand learning lessons- Procurement has four main areas of operation: strategy development, spend reduction, strategic supplier management andinteractive trainingWhichever proposition a client demands, SMTs delivery is based on gaining a detailed, unique insight into how othercompanies perform, which in itself provides our clients with a competitive advantage.The majority of our projects are for UK-based clients but the theatre of analysis is across Europe, Asia and NorthAmerica.What we offerA good salary (GBP 22,000), an excellent location in a lively and young city (central Oxford) and good work-life balance.The career rewards are, early face to face client contact, early project-management responsibilities, and exposure to awide range of sectors and critical business issues. Less than 3 years work experience. Good language skills in French or German areessential.
