Role: Datalinks Systems EngineerLocation BerkshireSalary - GBP 40kThe CompanyThe UK subsidiary of a major US electronics corporationPurpose of the RoleTo provide Tactical Datalinks expertise in support of Defence-related Datalink and Communication Systems activities(including Requirements Analysis, System Design, System Build, System Integration, and Test & Acceptance).ExperienceAn Engineer with a strong tactical datalinks background is required to join our Engineering department. Responsibledirectly to the Datalinks Systems Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will be working in the field of tacticaldatalinks, either: Specifying, designing, and developing systems utilising tactical datalinks, or Involved in the management of the integration and test of those systems in land, air, or sea platforms.Familiarity with the application of System Engineering within the Development Lifecycle, and use of modern SE CASE toolsis essentialIdeal requirements 3 + years Experience in the field of tactical datalinks, (particularly Link 16) Experience in a Systems Architectural or Systems Engineering role, familiar with the traditional systems engineeringlifecycle Experience of working within the Defence / Avionics field. Experience in Defence-related Communications systems Experience of working with relevant Mil-Stan., Def-Stan. and STANAG standards. Educated to degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline.
