: They are now seeking Design Engineers to be based on the coast of East Anglia to act as a Design Authority on technical aspects associated with the Safety Case and ensuring that the optimum technical arrangements are in place for key plant assets. You will assist with the preparation and review of safety submissions for presentation to the Nuclear Safety Committee and the Nuclear Installations Inspectorate and liaise with the Power Stations to assist with the resolution of any plant performance, technical or compliance issues. You will assist with the preparation and review of engineering documentation to enable plant improvements to be actively pursued, in line with Business Plan requirements. You will ensure that all work is undertaken with compliance and observance of company procedures, Licensee requirements and statutory requirements. Qualified to degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline or holding an appropriate equivalent recognised professional qualification, you will have knowledge of the design, function and operating conditions of the plant area and/or safety case. Knowledge of the interaction with other components and other safety cases is required, as is knowledge of the appropriate design principles and analytical techniques. You must have the capability to determine the fundamental requirements/characteristics of the work and be able to select the most effective methodology/ techniques to deliver the required outcome as well as implementing effectively the proposed methods and procedures. You will be required to diagnose and rectify problem/faults and to evaluate the overall process.
