They are looking to strengthen their product engineering team with additional contract design staff.In-Cylinder Valve Train & Air SystemsThe team is responsible for the Design & Development of the In-Cylinder components and features, such as:Piston Assembly / Cylinder linerPiston Cooling requirementsComplete Engine Valve TrainAir System (Turbochargers and air management system)Job Spec:Running and supervising mechanical development test engines - at detail level if necessaryPreparing test schedules, test instructions and planning and directing complete testing programmesLead, direct & execute engine calibration exercises using industry standard best test practicesAnalyse engine performance data, develop and enhance analytical techniques and processesMake, and take full responsibility for, engineering judgments and decisions on technical matters with minimal supervisionAuthor Technical Engineering ReportsEnsure all development activities & milestones are achieved to planPerson Spec:Mechanical Engineering DegreeMinimum of 7 years engine experience - Preferably diesel., although candidates with experience on gasoline engines willbe considered.Possess technical/people leadership potentialExcellent, planning, communication and interpersonal skillsHigh levels of self motivation, initiative & creativityClear, logical and thorough work patternCandidates with minimal but relevant experience will be considered
