Responsibilities.Working under the project manager, you will be expected to define and carry out the detailed development process to meetyour required targets. A strong emphasis is placed on accuracy and a structured approach to work, in order to developreliable and robust designs in terms of both performance and manufacture.Within this role, you will have the opportunity to apply a broad range of engineering disciplines and therefore a goodunderstanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and solid mechanics are essential, whilst a working knowledge oftribology and metallurgy would be beneficial.The Selection CriteriaDegree in an engineering related subject with a minimum 2:1 classification.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.2 years minimum experience in a similar environment preferred, although consideration will be given to exceptionalcandidates with less.Able to adopt a pro-active and flexible approach to work that allows the candidate to work independently as well as partof a team.Experience of FEA & CFD codes would be beneficial, as you will be expected to apply these within your work.Liasing with both internal and external customers will be very important and therefore strong communication skills areessential including verbal, written and formal presentations.A limited amount of foreign travel will be required.This role offers a competitive salary, a benefits package that includes 25 days annual holiday plus 6 Bank Holdiays andcontributory pension scheme.Standard hours:8.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday08.30 to 4.30 pm FridayProbation period 6 months |
