Digital Media DirectorTo be responsible and accountable at operational level for all financial and personnel issues within the Digital Mediateam.To lead, inspire and manage the digital media team to deliver an efficient, effective and profitable service to clients.To ensure the meeting and exceeding of key performance goals in respect of client satisfaction, business development,profitability and staff performance.REPORTING TOHead of InteractiveMAIN DUTIESUnderstanding the agency. Understand and promote interactive credentials to clients. Actively promote and utilise proprietary tools where appropriate, on existing business, whilst identifying new businessopportunities Understand the roles and responsibilities of other agency media teams and Knowledge Building effective and profitable relationships, acting as the intermediary between the client, account teams and mediateam Be responsible for the calibre of both internal and external communications prepared by media team and otherdepartments where appropriate Understand and educate media teams to use the appropriate admin/systems/tools procedures required by both Media andFinance Departments Ensure the delivery of Account Group and Agency financial performances, maintaining regular dialogue with the Head ofInteractive and Financial ControllerClient Servicing Be the senior department point of contact for the client team Identify and initiate business opportunities, directly or with the Digital Media Managers, from existing clients andco-ordinate their realisation Monitor the satisfaction of client needs, ensuring department team members effectively deliver client requestso Ensure the management of the business on a proactive basis, positioning of the Agency as a key strategic partner,taking an active interest in all aspects of Client interactive business Ensure the implementation of appropriate service level agreements with clients and key Heads of Department to ensurethat all work from interactive media planning to campaign implementation and delivery meets acceptable levels of qualityand timeliness within budgetary guidelines Attend appropriate key strategic meetings with client Review and attend the presentation of major creative Ensure the communication of Agency recommendations, where appropriate, and be involved in the fielding of majorinteractive strategic and media enquiries Front quality control meetings Keep informed in relation to day to day briefs, contact reports, quotes etc. Delegate tasks and agenda items as appropriate to Project Managers and other team members Regularly review, identify and ensure the addressing of client issuesInteractive Media Management Take overall responsibility for the quality of interactive media strategy and output:o Where appropriate work in conjunction with Digital Media Manager and Media Group Directors to develop inspired andaccountable interactive creative and programming propositionso Be involved in the judgement of media opportunitieso Ensure the diplomatic handling of debates with both creative and programming teams and ensure the successful, mutuallyacceptable outcome of such debates Ensure all work is completed in line with time and budgetary constraints. Monitor to ensure SLAs are being maintained Maintain a steady workflow within the Department and apportion resource levels in line with client requirements Manage resources in line with workflowInteractive Creative Management Ensure the Digital Media Team develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the team and creative personnelon relevant projects / client accountsFinancial Management Have responsibility for the Client Agency contract on all relevant accounts Be responsible for the development of all cost/commission proposals Ensure the tailoring of financial systems to Clients requirements: best practice, efficiency and transparency for bothparties Be responsible for the education and direction of the Digital Media Team in appropriate financial procedures and theimplementation of a regular forum to keep all team members up to speed on the financials of each piece of business Ensure that the Senior Project Manager is accountable for all costs associated with live campaigns Monitor that all quotes, invoices, financial status meetings are delivered on time and timesheets are completed on atimely basis by the Account Teams Ensure the minimization of agency exposure to third party costs Work with the Financial Director and Managing Director in optimising the growth and profit applications by Client. Oversee financial interactions on accounts, ensuring good financial health, revenue streams and billing practices,identifying financial issues with FD as appropriate Work with the Financial Director and Managing Director in optimizing the growth and profit applications by ClientTeam Management Set clear goals and objectives for the performance of direct reports Implement and contribute to the performance and career management process ensuring personal review meetings are held ona regular basis. Ensure content is constructive, providing feedback and an opportunity to agree next steps Inspire team and direct team to achieve positive end results Ensure:o Management of team issueso Team training and development needs are agreed and ensure liaison with Head of HR to agree training plano Ensure relevant attendance at key client meetingso Ensure the appropriate delegation of tasks and responsibilities across the teamo Team are kept informed of wider Agency issuesSKILLS & EXPERIENCE Educated to graduate level or equivalent Demonstrable experience of working in key advertising and marketing disciplines Passion about the industry demonstrated by a genuine interest in and enthusiasm for all aspects of marketing andcommunications, specifically interactive marketing disciplines Ability to articulate what makes a good advertising campaign or direct / interactive initiative Proven ability to drive existing business to maximize both account profitability and Agency revenue, whilst identifyingnew business opportunities Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Advanced presentation skills Negotiation and influencing skills Excellent team management experience Commercial acumen and business understanding Ability to interact and perform in a senior management role Ability to build successful relationships with key client personnel
