Description:

This role is to help develope and implement Digital Signal Processing algorithms which form part of mixed mode ASICs usedin wireless communications systems.You will be responsible for developing and implementing Digital Signal Processing algorithms for use in wirelesscommunications systems. Typically, these algorithms will be concerned with modulation, demodulation, error correction andchannel equalization. In addition, the role involves implementing the algorithms in RTL for incorporation into an ASIC.A further aspect of the role is the simulation of wireless communications systems to establish and optimize theirperformance. This includes modelling the channel behaviour and the imperfections in the analogue and digitalimplementations.The candidate requires at least 2 years of relevant experience in the area of Digital Signal processing algorithm design.Preferably this should be concerned with radio communication systems. This experience may have been gained either whileworking in industry or through PhD level research.RTL design experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite for this role.The applicant should have a minimum of a good honours degree from a leading institution. Preferably, the applicant shouldhave a relevant MSc or PhD.
