Preliminary site appraisals Technical analysis of planning issues such as retail impact, the availability of employment or housing land and the interpretation of planning policy Preparation of planning briefs Monitoring development plans Preparation of planning applications and appeals Project co-ordination Negotiations between parties in the development control process Provision of expert evidence at public inquiries, tribunals and court cases Advertisement applications and appeals Certificates of lawful use or development Enforcement of planning control Listed building and conservation area consent applications Compulsory purchase orders Establishing development potential to assist property valuation Legal disputes and arbitration cases advising on planning aspects Retail studies of town centres and proposals Employment land availability Commercial leisure and tourism studies The application of IT in planning Experience To develop our town planning business in the north east of England. The successful candidate should have at least 10 years' post qualification (RTPI) experience, be able to demonstrate a clear grasp of the town planning market across the region and have experience of developing work in the private sector. |
