About the roleOur large global client is looking for a Document Services Operator to be responsible for providing and maintaining ahigh quality, profitable, customer focussed print procurement service.Main Activities:1. To demonstrate pride and professionalism in all facets of print procurement, and take ownership for all workpersonally produced and organised.2. To liaise with clients as appropriate to agree, plan and organise specifications and production schedules.3. To organise and prioritise the workload to meet with customer schedules.4. To be responsible for the quality of the print procurement service. This would include ensuring that any total qualitymanagement controls and procedures are maintained throughout the various aspects of the process.5. To communicate with the clients consistently well and, by understanding their needs, promote the service beingoffered.6. To support the Team Leader and the rest of the Creatives team in continually seeking to improve the service.7. To ensure that job specifications meet with customer requirements.8. To provide technical support and advice to management and staff.9. To assist in creating and maintaining a working atmosphere which engenders teamwork and commitment.10. To collate and produce production data required for management information reports in a timely and accurate manner.11. To be aware of and maintain safe working practices related to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.12. To undertake any reasonable ad hoc duties as required by Team Leader.Person Specification:An interest and aptitude for dealing with people in a friendly but firm manner.A knowledge of document production techniques would be an advantage (electronic and hardcopy).Skills:Basic/intermediate IT skills.A sound knowledge of all printing processes.A customer focussed approach exhibiting a reliable and responsible attitude.Commercially aware.Well organised and able to work as part of a team.Experience:Preferably, in a customer service role in a reprographics/print environment.Qualifications:Qualifications to support the role would be an advantage.Background:A proven track record dealing with people in a high pressure environment would be a benefit.Location: BristolStart date: 20/10/2005
