EMBEDDED SOFTWARE DESIGNER SORT - DSP ALGORITHMS & SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURE to GBP 60kOur client seeks a Software Design Engineer with a proven track record in the development of embedded software systems for DSP or high performance RISC systems. You will have a demonstrated ability to architect a flexible software framework for data processing, plus the following: Embedded software development using C and C++, understanding of OOA/OOD and dataflow design methodologies, experience in physical layer processing and/or hardware drivers, commercial RTOS or micro kernel (DSP-BIOS) experience, experience implementating digital signal processing algorithms, good understanding of formal software test methodology, experience with ARM, Power PC, ADI or TI processor families, familiarity with ICE (In-Circuit Emulation) and debugging tools. You will have principal responsibility for development of embedded processing element of our digital base band processor platform, including creating the software foundation, the implementation of signal processing and control algorithms based on C, C++ and Matlab prototype code from the PC environment.
