DTP Specialist/CoordinatorThe DTP Specialist/Coordinator is a member of the DTP team providing skilled DTP services. Furthermore, she/hecoordinates the DTP activity of the company scheduling work and organising the work either internally or externally,according to available resources.Candidates for the position of DTP Specialist/Coordinator must possess excellent DTP skills in formatting, editing andbringing together text and graphics in high-end documentation and graphics software in major European languages. Theyshould also have excellent people management skills.Responsibilities: Typesetting/formatting and layout review of foreign language manuals Reformatting and optimisation of graphics for publications and online media Electronic book building including constructing/generating ToCs/cross references/indexes Reformatting of translated product marketing material and collaterals Conversion of translated document based source to SGML/HTML/XML formats Responding to all DTP requests from the Project Management Group Scheduling all DTP work according to internal/external resource availability Managing/expanding external DTP resources Ensuring quality of all DTP work Liaising with clients and clients own DTP resources to ensure that expectations are metSkills and Experience:Candidates must have : Excellent knowledge of both Windows and Macintosh environments Minimum of 2 years experience in Word for Windows and FrameMaker, Additional skills in QuarkXpress, InDesign, PageMaker, Ventura Publisher, Interleaf/Quicksilver, Photoshop,Illustrator, Freehand, WebWorks and Arbortext Epic (SGML/XML) would be advantageous Knowledge of web design using Dreamweaver or similar Quality, speed and accuracy A flexible approach to hours worked in order to meet deadlines People management skills to manage the other members of the DTP team
