Description:

You will be part of a small electrical maintenance team on day work reporting to the Maintenance Support Engineer andwill be responsible for maintaining key areas of HV and LV electrical plant and equipment.Key duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:Carry out routine maintenance, breakdown maintenance and fault finding on the full range of electrical equipment on a700MW CCGT Power Station.HV Switchboards and SwitchgearHV & LV Transformers415V MCC'sMotor Overhaul, Inspection & TestingProtection SystemsGenerator Brushgear MaintenanceGeneration Inspection & HV TestingLighting Routines and Installation & MaintenanceElectrical Actuator inspection, test & maintenanceStation UPS System MaintenanceStation DC Supply SystemsLV Installation to 16th EditionFault Finding & RepairPrepare routine maintenance specifications including safety plans and inputting onto MaximoSet Contract staff to work and supervise thereafter (Nominated Supervisors)Identify spares requirement and procureCarry out technical investigationsAuthorised Sanction for TestAuthorised Live WorkingCarry out safety auditsCandidates will preferably have completed a recognised indentured apprenticeship and be qualified to a minimum ofElectrical City & Guilds but HNC in Electrical Engineering would be advantageous.You will have initiative, commitment and be able to work well under pressure. A minimum of three years experience in autility industry or large process environment.
