.:My client, a leading IT services and product manufacturing organisation, is currently looking for an Electronics Project Engineer in a dedicated Engineering Group. Your remit will include the development, testing and integration of internal& 3rd party electronics into an end product, within cost, quality and delivery targets.Your remit will include::- Fault finding at system and board level- Designing test hardware to measure design performance- Analysing and instrumenting development machines in system qualification tests- Working with other disciplines such as software, mechanical on cross-technical related problems. - Ensuring electronics systems (including circuit boards, power supplies and harnesses) are integrated into the product and meet design targets.- Managing change control of electronics parts into the system configuration.Essential skills & experience::- Min 2 years experience in an electronics development environment.- Degree level education (or equivalent) in Electronics Engineering or similar subject.- Ability to document and present plans and problems well- Willing to travel occasionally as required- Familiar with analysis tools (e.g. PSPICE, FMEA, LSS)Desired skills & experience::- Practical hands-on experience working with electro-mechanical systems- An understanding of embedded software.- Experience with digital video and imaging- Experience in a project engineering role. - Experience of office product standards approvals (such as EMC or Energy Star).- Design skills (e.g. Schematic Capture, Circuit Analysis, DVT) |
