Description: |
In support of machine-placed components on prototype boards, assembled within the Pick & Place department, there is needof hand-assembly support. This will generally involve picking, insertion and hand-soldering of leaded components in atimely and efficient manner, working within the department under the direction of the Senior Technical Supervisor.Essential SkillsHand-assembling and hand-soldering of leaded parts involving a wide variety of component types and board designs.Excellent reworking skills involving de-soldering/re-soldering of both leaded and surface-mounted devices to at-least0402 and preferably 0201.Excellent inspection skills and recognition of potential quality issues.Ability to wire/modify boards against printed board layouts and circuit schematics, working on own initiative withminimal supervision.Good communication skills in liaison with technicians and engineers from across the organisation.Ability to adapt to new and emerging technologies, including lead-free soldering and related processes.Good computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft applications, Internet and Email. |
