Our client is a communications systems start-up company dedicated to supplying Integrated Circuits, Reference Designs andIntellectual Property for next generation wireless applications. Their team uniquely blends and cultivates expertise incommunications systems, software development, computer architecture, digital signal processing, RF design and silicondesign. Their immediate goal is to dominate the supply of flexible, scaleable, high capacity base station solutions thatenable cost effective third generation wireless infrastructure deployment.They now have a vacancy, within their System Design group, for an Embedded Software Engineer (C / C++) with 3+ years ofembedded software development experience. The role is primarily to develop real-time software for embedded systems, andrequires an understanding of wireless communication protocols.The ideal candidate would have experience in Processes, Threads and task scheduling using Real-time Operating Systems(RTOS') such as QNX, VxWorks, Nucleus and Embedded Linux, experience with DMA and BSPs, and with some of the followingprotocols NBAP, RRC, RLC, 802.16.
